Toolbars in SolidWorks Explorer
SolidWorks Explorer Toolbar
The SolidWorks Explorer toolbar contains the tools shown below. If SolidWorks Workgroup PDM is added in, more tools are available.

Refresh. Refreshes information in the File Explorer pane and the expanded view. |

Save to File. Saves the contents of the list to a text file. |

Mini Toolbars
Mini toolbars appear when you select documents in SolidWorks Explorer.
File Explorer
When you select a SolidWorks document, the mini toolbar contains the following tools:

SolidWorks Pack and Go. Gathers all related files for a model design (parts, assemblies, drawings, references, design tables, Design Binder content, custom and default decals, appearances, and scenes, and SolidWorks Simulation results) into a folder or zip file. | |
SolidWorks Rename. Renames a SolidWorks document and updates its references. | |
SolidWorks Replace. Replaces a SolidWorks document in an assembly and updates its references. | |

Check in. Lets you check the selected document into the Workgroup PDM vault. |

Find in vault. If the document is already in the vault, helps you locate it. |
When you select a non-SolidWorks document, the mini toolbar lets you open it, check it in to the vault, or, if it is already in the vault, locate it.
You can right-click items in the File Explorer pane and select commands such as Print and Delete.
Vault
When Workgroup PDM is added in, the lower part of the left pane displays the vault. The following options are available on the mini toolbars that display when you select a document in the vault :

Document Information. Opens a dialog box that shows information about the document. |

Reporting. Lets you view document information and save the information to an output file. |
|
Take Ownership. Lets you take ownership of the document. |
|
Release Ownership. Releases ownership of the document. |

Add Note. (Available only when you are the document owner) Lets you add an annotation. |

Search Vault. Lets you locate a document in the vault using logical operators. |
